Born and raised in the metro DC area, singer/songwriter, Joy Hanna, was compelled into a music career at the early age of eleven when she started writing songs. Joy was actively singing in churches, recording her original songs and touring until she graduated from Liberty University in 2013.

Joining the music staff at her home church, McLean Bible Church, Joy served as a worship leader for two years, during which she recorded her third full length album titled, Set Free, a compilation of songs written to raise awareness about the issue of modern day slavery and encourage victims of abuse with songs of hope and truth. Set Free released in March 2015; the album has been distributed to domestic and global anti-trafficking organizations and raised over $10,000 for the cause.

After getting married in April 2015, Joy and her husband moved to Houston, Texas where she continues to lead worship, write and record new music to be an encouragement to those who listen. Joy is working on releasing a new album of love songs later this year; you can hear her latest singles on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and all other music streaming platforms.
